Bearing Clearance

The so-called internal clearance is the clearance between the outer ring, inner ring and steel ball of the bearing. Generally, the displacement of the outer ring in the radial direction of the fixed inner ring is called radial clearance, and the displacement of the fixed outer ring in the axial direction is called axial clearance. In the operation of the bearing, the size of the internal clearance is the main factor that directly affects the performance of the bearing such as vibration, heat generation, and fatigue life. Deep groove ball bearings are expressed by ordinary radial internal clearance. In actual measurement, in order to obtain a stable measurement value, a specified load is added. Due to the elastic deformation of the bearing, the measurement value at this time is larger than the actual value, so the true clearance can be obtained after correction. The relationship between radial internal clearance and axial internal clearance: The axial clearance is determined by the steel ball diameter, the inner and outer ring groove radius, and the radial internal clearance value, which is about 10 times the ordinary radial clearance. As a person who wants to reduce the axial internal clearance after installation, it is dangerous to choose a small radial clearance and a large interference fit.
